Rowde has got talent

On Friday 23rd May, Miss Tarrant and I spent all day watching auditions for Rowde's Got Talent. There were guest judges who joined us during the day too. 

We had a fantastic day and now have a very difficult task to choose who goes through to the live finals! Here are a few photos from the day. The talent in Rowde is amazing!

Jessica's Titanic homework

Jessica decided that she wanted to find out about the Titanic and she made a 3D model to record her findings!

Rufus' Rosettes

Rufus loves his dog Cassie. He was so proud when he came to share with me the two rosettes that he had won.                                                                      

Spiders!

Kitty and Beth from Cygnus class brought me some brilliant work all about spiders. They said that they wanted to tell me some spider information and find out if I was scared of spiders.

I would certainly be scared if I saw any of the spiders that they had drawn!

Sam Briggs is a winner!!!

A big congratulations go to Sam, and his team mates, on winning the South Wilts Youth league for football.

The cup is huge and very heavy and will be passed around the whole team so that they can share in the glory of the win. 

Sam hasscored about 20 goals all season. Look out for his name in future England squads!!

Ben Gilbert' up levelled story

Ben Gilbert has worked exceedingly hard to up level  the continuation to a ghost story.

Ben is preparing for his SAT tests and asked to alter the story using better vocabulary than had been used in the original story.

Despite it being a Friday afternoon Ben is still going strong. I am very proud of you Ben.

House winners!

Silbury Hill house have the most merits this term and are this terms house point winners. 

Congratulations to everyone in Silbury and well done for working so hard. 

Faye joined the recorder group

Faye has been learning a tune called Where have all the flowers gone and joined in with the group to play it. 

This was Faye's first time playing with a bigger recorder group.

Hilperton School and Community Recorder group visit

We had a visit from the Hilperton recorder group. 

It was lovely to listen to live music. 

We learned all about the different types of recorder, small and big! 

Tilly's Sonnet

Inspired by Shakespeare, Tilly has written her own sonnet entitled The Piano. 

The ivory keys there are eighty eight

Some pearly, some inky, I touch them all...

Poppy came to show me her fabulous guided reading work. She has written an alternative ending to the story called 'Deep Water.'

Romeo and Juliet

A huge congratulations to our year 5 children who put on a brilliant performance of Romeo and Juliet at Nursteed last night.

I was blown away with the professionalism of all the children and how well they had learned their lines.

You should all be very proud or yourselves! 

Thank you to family and friends who came to watch and support us too. 

Poppy, Zoe, Evie and Izzy's Collective worship

These 4 fabulous girls led a collective worship to thank us for donating shoes and telling us all about the Butale project. 

We were all inspired by how we have helped and how we can help in the future. 

Thank you girls for leading such a well prepared assembly. We look forward to supporting the project again. 

The girls had made certificates to thank those children who had donated shoes. What a kind gesture.

I absolutely love to share with the children's learning and today 2 girls from Cygnus class came to share their stories with me.
