Friendship, by Jess
What is friendship?
By Jess
ü Being
kind
ü Not
walking off and leaving your people behind
ü Letting
people play with you
ü If
someone doesn’t want your friend to play with you, still let them play
ü Help
somebody if they fall over
ü Be
generous
ü Be a
good friend
ü Don’t
leave people out of your game – let them join in
ü Be
helpful to your friends
ü Don’t
argue
ü Be
polite and listen to what people have to say
ü Don’t
forget people
ü Never hurt anyone.
If you are a good friend, then you will have good friends.
Wise words Jess

Football Crazy!
Our own keen football Lewis met an ex QPR player Charlie Austin last weekend and is now the proud owner of a signed photo and football boot.
I have sent Mr Dyson and Mr Thomas on a mission to find out about these training camps - fingers crossed that we can offer something at Rowde.

McMILLAN COFFEE MORNING
A huge thank you to all parents, carers, governors and friends who visited Rowde for the McMillan Coffee Morning.
We raised £462.78 from the sale of the most amazing cakes. Thank you to the parents, carers and children who donated their time and cakes to make this event so successful.
Equally importantly we had an opportunity to spend time together as a school community. What a lovely way to spend a morning.

Pink Friday is back!
How lovely to see so many people wearing pink in school on Friday.
Remember that we have the McMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September from 9am.
We need as many parents, carers, friends, family members as possible to make this a real community event. We are asking children to bring in cakes and biscuits and they too will be able to come along and buy a cake and a drink during the morning.
How fabulous that Just Kidding in Devizes have designed our very own Rowde Think Pink Friday polo shirts which can be ordered via the school office. These shirts come in a variety of sizes - suitable for both adults and children. All profits go to McMillan Cancer Research.

Year 6 Bag Packing at Morrisons
An impressive amount of just over £400 was raised on Thursday when the Year 6 children visited Morrisons in Devizes to help customers pack their bags.
A huge thank you goes to all the staff of Morrisons, who were dressed in pink and had decorated the store with pink balloons in support of our fund raising for Breast Cancer Research... even the Manager was wearing pink!

Mango Fruit Winders
Our year 5 cookery group made mango fruit winders this week.
The mangos were really fiddly to cut but everyone had fun eating the fruit, probably more fruit went into their mouths than into the food processor!! Not to worry it was delicious fun!
I did manage to burn a few trays of the mango purée, sorry! We did have some success though and we did enjoy making the winder strips.
I hear that they were very tasty!
Some of my the more creative names for mango winders were: 'Minders' and 'Wangos'!!! Genius!
This is the group making them.
