Welcome Back!

After not using my blog for a significant time, I thought that I'd post a welcome to everyone.

I am looking forward to a happy and healthy year for everyone at Rowde!

It's good to be back, I have missed it.

More GOLDS for Rowde!

Congratulations to the archery and swimming teams for their gold medals today, and for the amazing performance in the Triathlons.

We have had another incredible day of Olympic events, including alternative sports, water polo, judo and ice skating!

Huge thanks to Mr Dyson, Mark Burbidge and Mr Crossman from Nursteed.  The year 6s have been amazing in helping us to host our events at Rowde, and of course all of the staff and volunteers who have helped to make today happen have been incredible...  Most of all thank you to the children from Rowde and all the other cluster schools for making yet another memorable and fun day.

Congratulations to the Rowde Basketball Team who won gold medals in this morning's RIO Basketball event!

RIO HAS BEGUN

Despite this morning's weather, we managed to continue with many of our RIO events.

Our children have experienced KS2 Alternative Sports, Swimming, Shooting and Gymnastics.

Well done to all of our teams.

Easter Bonnet Parade

The grey morning was brightened up by the incredible Easter bonnet parade here at Rowde.  We had a fantastic array of hats, hair, bonnets, and creations which chased the clouds away.

Thank you to our amazing gardening party

Thank you to Wickes' staff, parents and children who gave up their Sunday this morning to help transform our school garden.  You all worked incredibly hard and the results are fantastic.

A Wonderful World Book Day

Wow!  What an amazing array of book characters filled our school today!

We had everyone from Horrid Henry to Mary Poppins at Rowde Academy to celebrate World Book Day.










Unfortunately, there was a rather hungry crocodile who caused a little mischief during the day.... did you spot it?


Thank you to all the children, teachers, TAs, MDSA and office staff who went to such an incredible effort to make our World Book Day one of the best!

Thank you too, to the teachers who said up until very late to read us a bedtime story.
